Hosting a race at the Gloucester venue for the first time, the club took full advantage of a home fixture to field strong teams in both races.

In a women’s race that was won by GB international, Jess Judd, CLC Striders were led home by Liza Barry who finished in an excellent 39th place in this highly competitive field.  Next for Striders was women’s captain Rachel Vines who ran a strong race to finish in 65th place; Vines was closely followed in 66th place by Karlien Heyrman, who continues to make an impressive comeback.  Next in for the club and all racing well were:  Amanda Steer in 70th place; Amelia Mullins in 84th and Patricia Sturgess in 102nd.  Zoe Gough performed well for 107th, while Hannah Gornall made a welcome debut as a non-scoring guest in 109th.  Emma Abbey completed the women’s line-up with an excellent race to finish in 181st place.

The women’s team and the masters’ team both claimed 12th place.
