Linda Franks 5 Mile Race - 13th May 2012
There was another victory for John Parker at Sunday’s rearranged Linda Franks 5 Mile race.
Having won the Aviator 4 only a week ago, Parker once again led from the start and maintained a quick pace to open up a gap of almost 2 minutes over nearest rival James Rose of Severn AC and finish in a time of 26:21.
Next for Striders was Amanda Steer who finished 3rdLV40 in 31stplace in a time of 34:11, breaking the club 5-mile record in her category. Dave Mayo was the next Strider, and he continued his run of good form to claim 38thplace in a time of 35:15.
Sue Clark was 74thand 2ndLV55 in a time of 40:43 whilst Denise Hallam completed the Striders line-up taking 88thplace in a time of 43:56.
