National Road Relays - Sutton Park - 2015

Wilkie ran a strong leg and finished in 39th place in a time of 37.25, veteran Amanda Steer took over on the second long leg and improved 6 places for the Striders running an excellent 37.31 while ladies captain Rachel Vines took over from Steer and ran a solid 21.04 for the short leg gaining one place finishing in 32nd place. Striders final runner, Beckie Boulton, on a short leg held on to 32nd place recording a brisk 23.04. The ladies team had last minute withdrawals and couldn’t complete a team finish.
Meanwhile 8 Striders took part in the Magnificent 7 Multi terrain race from Eastnor castle. Chris Driskell ran well to finish 7th, Billy Bradshaw was 21st, Rachel Vines 41st, Andrew Paterson 44th, Amelia Mullins 49th, Gavin Jerman 64th, Nicola Christian 135th and Nikki Smith 137th.
