With the weather calm, dry and mild, conditions were ideal for fast times.

And there were impressive performance from all three of the Striders contingent. Phil Jowett took a massive 50 seconds of his time at the previous race to finish in 39th place in 19:05; Malc Smith smashed his PB to take 54th place in 21:19, whilst the stand-out performance of the evening was from the ever-improving Amanda Steer who took the first prize in her age group and was only seconds away from a club record with her time of 20:51.
