CLC Striders had a total of 21 athletes taking part in the Aero 5 mile road race held at Bishops Cleeve. John Parker led the Men’s Team to 2nd place overall, and Liza Barry led the Women’s Team also to 2nd place overall. Three Striders set new Club Records on this testing course, John Parker set a new Men’s Record running 26.16, Trudy Jones set a Ladies V40 Record running 39.17, and Nikki Smith set a Ladies V45 Record running 37.51. Other notable performances were had by Sian Holly who had the run of her life to record a time of 33.20, Rich Dare who ran a Pb and dipped under the 28 minute barrier, and Dave Smeath also recorded a new Pb time of 30.05.
